DAY 5 GOD IS LOVE

How can I be sure of God’s love?

We all know life can be harsh. Consequently, it may be difficult to look at our circumstances and conclude that God is a god of love. Perhaps you grew up in a broken home with little evidence of love -- possibly even abuse -- from your earthly father. You may have lost loved ones to illness, accident or war. In some areas of the world, poverty and famine are daily realities. Where is God's love in all this?

I believe God's heart aches more than we can ever know at the pain, suffering, injustice and difficulties all His children encounter, especially when you understand that most of it is the result of mankind turning away from Him. Sin's entrance into the world brought severe consequences. Yet from the onset of sin and its ravages, God had the remedy in mind.

That remedy was Jesus. While we were still caught up in sin, God sent His own Son to buy us back -- to "redeem" us. Here is the way Jesus describes the love of God:

God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16 NIV).

The Apostle John also focused on God's love:

God is love. This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him (1 John 4:8,9 NIV).

Oswald Chambers sums up the linkage between the cross and God's love:

The bedrock of our Christian faith is the unmerited, fathomless marvel of the love of God exhibited on the Cross of Calvary, a love we never can and never shall merit (March 7).

Billy Graham, in his recent book, The Journey, says, "The more I read the Bible, the more I realize that love is God's supreme attribute" (p. 22).

When you yielded your life to God and were born again, you came face to face with your heavenly Father's love. Now, as you continue your Christian journey, lean into that love, drawing deeply upon it. Immerse yourself in His love and care.

Here is a prayer, penned to the early church in Ephesus by the Apostle Paul, who wrote several letters to new believers that are recorded in the New Testament. You can make this prayer your own: "(that you may) know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God" (Ephesians 3:19).

Key Scripture God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son (John 3:16 NIV).
Key Thought God’s love for me has never wavered -- and it never will.

DAY 4 THE BIBLE: A WORD FOR ALL AGES

How am I doing on Day 4?

Can you confidently make the following statements?

* I am certain that by faith I have been born again -- I've come out of darkness into light. (Remember, our assurance is based on the fact of God's promise, not on how we feel.)
* My focus is on the here and now, not where I've been, and not on what the future holds.
* I have entered into a new and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He loves me and He is changing me from the inside out.

We'll be coming back to these themes from time to time. Now, I want to introduce you to a book -- the Bible. It must become your friend and lifelong companion.

Words are important in any culture. They are how we communicate facts, ideas, instruction, encouragement and correction. It shouldn't surprise you that God will communicate with you by words. He even referred to Jesus, His Son, as "the Word" (See John 1).

The Bible consists of 66 books -- a collection of history, poetry, letters and the accounts of those from whom we can learn valuable lessons. It is the number one means by which you can learn who God is, how He wants you to live and how He will help you.

I didn't always view the Bible as this kind of companion. Before I committed my life to Jesus, I found it confusing, even mysterious. Part of the problem was that I tried to read it like any other book, from page 1. Soon, I got bogged down and put it aside.

After I became a believer, the Bible began to come alive. I started reading one of the four gospels in the New Testament on the advice of a friend and discovered a wonderful account of the life of Jesus. I found it very real, very transparent. I became aware that what I was reading was producing hope in me. I discovered lessons that applied to where I was right then. In fact, often what I would read each morning would apply directly to events happening that very day. More than once I recall saying, "That's amazing!"

If you have a Bible, great! If not, you can access one online at www.biblegateway.com. Try starting with Luke's gospel. Read a little each day. As you read, let the words speak to you, bringing some fresh insight, some new truth. Savor what God tells you through His word -- turning it over in your mind, allowing it to be a vital source of life. (Even though something is confusing, remember everything in the Bible is there for a purpose.)

Another good practice would be to look up the Bible references I mention in this study. This will help you become familiar with "navigating" through the Bible and to see the specific context for a particular verse or verses. (In this 30-day study, I've generally used the New King James Version of the Bible, unless otherwise noted -- such as "NIV" for the New International Version -- but feel free to find a version that is appropriate for you.)

As you know, in any kind of building project, the foundation is critical. For example, in the construction of a new high-rise building, the "unglamorous" work below ground must be done carefully. The foundation is no place to cut corners, even though this phase of construction can seem to take forever. Eventually, activity begins above ground and the building takes shape with remarkable speed. In the same way, your new life in Christ must be built on a solid foundation. The very best foundation is the Bible. Situations change, and friends come and go. But the Bible is "rock solid." Decide today to build your foundation on God's word, making it your lifelong companion.

Key Scripture Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16).
Key Thought The Bible is more than a container for the word of God -- it is God speaking directly to me through the words I read.

DAY 3 GOD WORKS INSIDE OUT

What should I do first?

Early in our journey, we need to understand the vital distinction between religion and a relationship. Most of us have seen religion at work -- but the relationship we have with Jesus is much different. Religion tends toward the external. It is structural and rules-based. In contrast, our relationship should be personal, open, warm and liberating.

Jesus wants us to come to Him the way a little child comes to a loving parent. Anyone who has spent time around young children understands this imagery. My wife, Wendy, and I were always delighted when one of our six children would run up to us, arms outstretched for a hug -- then nestling in with their entire little bodies, completely at rest and filled with trust.

Can I ask you to do this right now? Just become a "little child" for a minute -- and come to Jesus as you would to a father or mother who deeply loves you. No requests. No expectations. You don't have to brush your teeth or comb your hair. Simply come to Him and nestle in. Stay in His presence. Experience His love for you.

Did you take time for this? Please don't go on until you do.

Let this childlike act become a lifelong habit. From that place of rest, trust and dependency you will experience the transforming power of the new life. "It is God who works in you both to will and to do for his good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13). His work is inside out, not outside in.

Sadly, many Christians have allowed religion to become a substitute for a relationship. It is an easy trap to fall into. You can get so busy "doing things for God" that you neglect the personal bond with Him.

Uncorrected, this "religious" tendency can actually become a spiritual liability. This was so in Jesus' day. Jesus reserved some of his harshest words for "professional believers" -- who became so bound with rules and regulations that their lives were consumed with hypocrisy and greed. They were blind to Jesus' desire for a relationship.

Make it your goal to stay childlike in your relationship with Jesus, even as you grow in knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

Key Scripture Come unto me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).
Key Thought Jesus is a person. He wants a personal relationship with me.

DAY 2 BEGINNING THE JOURNEY

What can I expect on my journey?

Years ago, when our family would set out on a long car trip, we would be only a few miles down the road when one of our then small children would ask, "Daddy, are we there yet?"

As we begin our spiritual journey, let's not focus on how long the journey is. And let's not worry about what we'll encounter along the way, for in reality we don't know. Only God does. Rather, let us think about what's happening right now. Here are some key ideas:

* Just as you committed your life to Jesus, He has fully committed Himself to you. He promises: "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). Jesus is with you all the time, regardless of your situation.
* Give up the idea of instant results. Spiritual growth doesn't happen overnight, it is a process. Look for small changes: meeting a new Christian friend; making a step to curtail an annoying habit; discovering a helpful insight from the Bible.
* Take your new life a day at a time, even moment by moment. A daily writing by Oswald Chambers, whose thoughts on the Christian life are found in a wonderful book called My Utmost for His Highest, says in his July 28 entry: "(God's) purpose is for this minute, not something in the future." Focus on where He is working in you, around you and through you right now.

Here is a caution, one we'll get into in more depth later. When Jesus was explaining the parable of the sower to His disciples (mentioned in the Introduction), He said, "The wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart" (Matthew 13:19). He was referring to the devil, or Satan -- your adversary who is always working against you.

Satan's tactic for the new believer is to pull you back from your newfound faith. He'll say: "This isn't real. You've just had an emotional experience." "You're going to lose all your friends." "Your fun days are over." It's a mental battle, and dealing with the adversary is a fact of your Christian life.

When Satan comes with doubts, fears and temptations, oppose him with words like these: "I am a child of God, redeemed from my old life by the Lord Jesus." Then pray for Jesus to help you. "Lord, help me through this battle."

Remember: by coming to Jesus you have taken a major, life-transforming step -- one you will never regret!

Key Scripture He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)
Key Thought My next step is the most important on my lifelong journey.

A 30-DAY GUIDE FOR NEW BELIEVERS

DAY 1 PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION

What actually happens when I commit to following Jesus?

This is a tremendously important question. Most of us have very incomplete knowledge of what's involved in the transformed life at the time of our decision to follow Christ. But it is essential that we quickly grow in that understanding.

According to the Bible we are "born again" when we take certain steps in faith:

* Acknowledge we have been separated from God -- living independently from Him -- and repent for staying separated. ("Repent" means to stop and completely change direction.)
* Turn toward God and away from our former way of living
* Personally, and verbally, ask Jesus Christ to be our Savior -- receiving Him as the One who by His death, burial and resurrection made it possible to come back to God
* Give ourselves fully to Him, recognizing that Jesus is Lord -- the One who is entitled to all authority in our lives

This act of believing, the term used most commonly in the New Testament, is not merely mental assent but actively inviting Jesus to be our Savior and Lord with all our heart and strength. Passion is permissible!

As mentioned earlier, I reached this point of commitment after years of trying to make it on my own. I finally came to the end of myself -- and reached out to Jesus. I became a believer. I was "born again." I experienced a fresh start, a new beginning.

Though observable changes didn't take place immediately, I can look back now to see a process of gradual change -- one that began a major shift in the entire direction of my life. In a word: transformed!

Here are some of the ways the Bible describes transformation:
Out of Darkness Into Light (1 Peter 2:9)
Out of Bondage Into Freedom (Romans 8:21)
Out of Death Into Life (Romans 6:13)

On day one after your commitment to follow Jesus you may not feel any different. Don't let your feelings obscure this one major fact: a huge transition has taken place! It will take time -- maybe a lifetime -- to fully appreciate the ramifications of turning your life over to Christ -- both now and for eternity. It still overwhelms me to realize that God Himself met me as a lost, self-willed, and self-sufficient young man. The Author of all creation reached out to me, accepted me into His family and showed me His unconditional love. And that love has never diminished for a single moment since.

Don't be discouraged if you don't see the evidence right away. Stand your ground. You have embarked on a new journey. You are a new person with a new, transformed life. Your adventure of following Jesus has just begun.

Key Scripture Therefore if anyone is in Christ, He is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Key Thought My life has changed -- forever.

The Choice

Its been so long that i didn't update my blog. Today, I'm going to write something that matter the most to me... Life is all about making choices. I have been wondering am i walking in the right way? Am i taking the best way right now? Or is this the best choices i have choose? When all of this questions appeared in my head, i feel like wanted to scream... Sometimes, i just a small things for granted without realizing that actually it will brings a great effect in my life.( especially now ) I don't feel like i am helping my life live to the fullest instead i am destroying it. And more worse, no one is there to wipe my tears and even if they offer a shoulder for me to cry on, i feel like i was a dead body, nothing can satisfy myself. Sometimes, I've been thinking i want to go and be the "old" me , i like the way i was. How pathetic i am now and how spectacular my life was. I know this have something to do with the choices i took and the choices i plan to take. I hope no matter what steps i take, i hope everyone can understand it. I'm a big girl now and i know what i do and i know what should i do. Even if made a mistakes, corrected me but don't blame me.

Seriously, there are a lot scar in my heart and it appears to be deeper and much more deeper when i think about it. I'm happy with my past as it showed me something that i never knew. But the people around us especially those who were really up-to-date in every aspects of your life tends to create a gossip and they want to take you down. Hey, everybody make mistakes. Everyone is design and given a chance to make mistakes.Who are you to care so much mistakes I've done in my life. You did a mistakes too. How unfair and wonderful life is... I love my life and hey I'm not ashamed with my past.

Based on what i have been through before, people have this kind of feature. When we did a mistake , people will only see the mistake that you have done and forget all the good things you did before. I believe everyone has been through like this. They were like " you shouldn't do that in the first place, you are ruining everything! Do you realize how big mistake you have done ? " Huh... And i Was like " If know that this would come in the first place, i wouldn't do this ? How if you were me ? Do you know what should you do when thing comes out and day HI to you ? " Arghh... If we have the ability to know what might come up next, there would be no mistakes in this world .Everything would be very perfect and guess what? We don't need a God. See, how choices might brought to us?

Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk , every situation is a choice. You choose how to react with the situations and there will be a more choices for you to made in the future. This choice mixed with a little confusion and confession, build with a confirmation and must be obtained by sacrifices. And in that moment, no matter how sagacious you are, it won't help you anymore

Every Day can be an Exciting Adventure for the Christian who knows the reality of being filled with the Holy Spirit and who lives constantly, moment by moment, under His gracious direction.

The Bible tells us that there are three kinds of people.
Natural Man(one who has not received Christ)

"A natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised" (1 Corinthians 2:1414But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.).
Spiritual Man

(One who is directed and empowered by the Holy Spirit)

"He who is spiritual appraises all things...We have the mind of Christ"
(1 Corinthians 2:1515But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one.).
Carnal Man

(One who has received Christ, but who lives in defeat because is trying to live the Christian life in his own strength)

"And I brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to carnal men, as to babes in Christ. I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able, for you are still carnal. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshy, and are you not walking like mere men?" (1 Corinthians 3:1-31And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ.2I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able,3for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men?).
God Has Provided For Us an Abundant and Fruitful Christian Life

Jesus said, "I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly" (John 10:1010The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.).

"I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing" (John 15:55I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.).

"But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law" (Galatians 5:22, 2322But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.).

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth" (Acts 1:88but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.).
The Spiritual Man -

Some spiritual traits which result from trusting God:

The degree to which these traits are manifested in the life depends upon the extent to which the Christian trusts the Lord with every detail of his life, and upon his maturity in Christ. One who is only beginning to understand the ministry of the Holy Spirit should not be discouraged if he is not as fruitful as more mature Christians who have known and experienced this truth for a longer period.

Why is it that most Christians are not experiencing the abundant life?
Carnal Christians Cannot Experience the Abundant and Fruitful Christian Life

The carnal man trusts in his own efforts to live the Christian life:

1. He is either uninformed about, or has forgotten, God's love, forgiveness, and power ( Romans 5:8-108But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.9Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.10For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.; Hebrews 10:1-251The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming-not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. 2If it could, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. 3But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, 4because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. 5Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; 6with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. 7Then I said, 'Here I am-it is written about me in the scroll- I have come to do your will, O God.' " 8First he said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them" (although the law required them to be made). 9Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. 13Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool, 14because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. 15The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: 16"This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds." 17Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more." 18And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin. 19Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. 25Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.; 1 John 1; 2:1-31 John 1What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life-2and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us-3what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.4These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.God Is Light5This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.6If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;7but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.8If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.10If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.
1 John 2:1-3 1My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;2and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.3By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments.;
2 Peter 1:99For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins.; Acts 1:88but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.).

2. He has an up-and-down spiritual experience.

3. He cannot understand himself - he wants to do what is right, but cannot.

4. He fails to draw upon the power of the Holy Spirit to live the Christian life.

(1 Corinthians 3:1-31Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly-mere infants in Christ. 2I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men?; Romans 7:15-24; 8:715For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate.16But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good.17So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.18For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.19For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want.20But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.21I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good.22For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man,23but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.24Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?
Romans 8: 7because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, ; Galatians 5:16-1816But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.17For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.)
The Carnal Man -

Some or all of the following traits may characterize the Christian who does not fully trust God:

(The individual who professes to be a Christian but who continues to practice sin should realize that he may not be a Christian at all, according to
(1 John 2:3; 3:6, 91 John 2Christ Is Our Advocate3By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments.
1 John 36No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him.9No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.; Ephesians 5:55For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.).

The third truth gives us the only solution to this problem...
Jesus Promised the Abundant and Fruitful Life
as the Result of Being Filled (Directed and Empowered) by the Holy Spirit

The Spirit-filled life is the Christ-directed life by which Christ lives His life in and through us in the power of the Holy Spirit (John 151I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.2Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.3You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.4Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.5I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.6If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.7If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.8My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.9Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love.10If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.11These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.12This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.13Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.14You are My friends if you do what I command you.15No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.16You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.17This I command you, that you love one another.18If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.19If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.20Remember the word that I said to you, A slave is not greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.21But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.22If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.23He who hates Me hates My Father also.24If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well.25But they have done this to fulfill the word that is written in their Law, They hated Me without a cause.26When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me,27and you will testify also, because you have been with Me from the beginning.).

One becomes a Christian through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, according to
John 3:1-81Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews;2this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him."3Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."4Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?"5Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.6"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.7"Do not be amazed that I said to you, `You must be born again.'8"The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.. From the moment of spiritual birth, the Christian is indwelt by the Holy Spirit at all times (John 1:1212But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,; Colossians 2:9, 109For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,10and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority;; John 14:16, 1716I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;17that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.). Though all Christians are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, not all Christians are filled (directed and empowered) by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the source of the overflowing life (John 7:37-3937Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.38"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, `From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'"39But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.).

The Holy Spirit came to glorify Christ (John 16:1-151These things I have spoken to you so that you may be kept from stumbling.2"They will make you outcasts from the synagogue, but an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God.3"These things they will do because they have not known the Father or Me.4"But these things I have spoken to you, so that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you of them. These things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.5"But now I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me, `Where are You going?'6"But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.7"But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.8"And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment;9concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me;10and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me;11and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.12"I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.13"But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.14"He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.15"All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.). When one is filled with the Holy Spirit, he is a true disciple of Christ.

In His last command before His ascension, Christ promised the power of the Holy Spirit to enable us to be witnesses for Him (Acts 1:1-91The first account I composed, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach,2until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen.3To these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God.4Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, "Which," He said, "you heard of from Me;5for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."6So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, "Lord, is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?"7He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority;8but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."9And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.).

How, then, can one be filled with the Holy Spirit?
We are Filled by the Holy Spirit by Faith;
then we can Experience the Abundant and Fruitful Life Christ Promised to each Christian.

You can appropriate the filling of the Holy Spirit right now if you:

Sincerely desire to be directed and empowered by the Holy Spirit
(Matthew 5:66Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.; John 7:37-3937Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.38"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, `From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'"39But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.).

Confess your sins.
By faith thank God that He has forgiven all of your sins - past, present and future - because Christ died for you (Colossians 2:13-1513When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,14having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.15When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.; 1 John 1; 2:1-31What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life-2and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us-3what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.4These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.God Is Light5This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.6If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;7but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.8If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.10If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.1My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;2and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.3By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments.; Hebrews 10:1-171For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfect those who draw near.2Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have had consciousness of sins?3But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year by year.4For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.5Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says, "Sacrifice and offering You have not desired, But a body You have prepared for Me; 6In whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You have taken no pleasure. 7"Then I said, `Behold, I have come (In the scroll of the book it is written of Me) To do Your will, O god.'"8After saying above, "Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You have not desired, nor have You taken pleasure in them" (which are offered according to the Law),9then He said, "Behold, I have come to do Your will." He takes away the first in order to establish the second.10By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.11Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins;12but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,13waiting from that time onward until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet.14For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.15And the Holy Spirit also testifies to us; for after saying, 16"This is the covenant that I will make with them After those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws upon their heart, And on their mind I will write them," He then says, 17"And their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.").

Present every area of your life to God (Romans 12:1, 21Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.).

By faith claim the fullness of the Holy Spirit, according to:

His Command - Be filled with the Spirit. "And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:1818And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,).

His Promise - He will always answer when we pray according to His will. "And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked of Him" (1 John 5:14, 1514This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.).

Faith can be expressed through prayer...
How to Pray in Faith to be Filled
with the Holy Spirit

We are filled with the Holy Spirit by faith alone. However, true prayer is one way of expressing your faith. The following is a suggested prayer:

"Dear Father, I need You. I acknowledge that I have been directing my own life and that, as a result, I have sinned against You. I thank You that You have forgiven my sins through Christ's death on the cross for me. I now invite Christ to again take His place on the throne of my life. Fill me with the Holy Spirit as You commanded me to be filled, and as You promised in Your Word that You would do if I asked in faith. I now thank You for directing my life and for filling me with the Holy Spirit."

Does this prayer express the desire of your heart? If so, bow in prayer and trust God to fill you with the Holy Spirit right now.
How to Know That You are Filled (Directed
and Empowered) with the Holy Spirit

Did you ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit? Do you know that you are now filled with the Holy Spirit? On what authority? (On the trustworthiness of God Himself and His Word: Hebrews 11:66And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him; Romans 14:22, 2322The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.23But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from.)
Do not depend upon feelings. The promise of God's Word, not our feelings, is our authority. The Christian lives by faith (trust) in the trustworthiness of God Himself and His Word. This train diagram illustrates the relationship between fact (God and His Word), faith (our trust in God and His Word), and feeling (the result of our faith and obedience) ( John 14:2121He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.).

The train will run with or without the caboose. However, it would be futile to attempt to pull the train by the caboose. In the same way, we, as Christians, do not depend upon feelings or emotions, but we place our faith (trust) in the trustworthiness of God and the promises of His Word.
How to Walk in the Spirit

Faith (trust in God and in His promises) is the only means by which a Christian can live the Spirit-directed life. As you continue to trust Christ moment by moment:

Your life will demonstrate more and more of the fruit of the Spirit
( Galatians 5:22, 2322But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.) and will be more and more conformed to the image of Christ ( Romans 12:22And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.; 2 Corinthians 3:1818But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.).

Your prayer life and study of God's Word will become more meaningful.

You will experience His power in witnessing ( Acts 1:88but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.).

You will be prepared for spiritual conflict against the world ( 1 John 2:15-1715Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.17The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.); against the flesh (Galatians 5:16-1716But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.17For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.); and against Satan (1 Peter 5:7-97casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.8Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.9But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world; Ephesians 6:10-1310Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.11Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.13Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.).

You will experience His power to resist temptation and sin
(1 Corinthians 10:1313No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.; Philippians 4:1313I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.; Ephesians 1:19-2319and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might20which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,21far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.22And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church,23which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.;
2 Timothy 1:77For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.; Romans 6:1-161What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase?2May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?3Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?4Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.5For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection,6knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;7for he who has died is freed from sin.8Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,9knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him.10For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.11Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts,13and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.14For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.15What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!16Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness?).
Spiritual Breathing

By faith you can continue to experience God's love and forgiveness.

If you become aware of an area of your life (an attitude or an action) that is displeasing to the Lord, even though you are walking with Him and sincerely desiring to serve Him, simply thank God that He has forgiven your sins - past, present and future - on the basis of Christ's death on the cross. Claim His love and forgiveness by faith and continue to have fellowship with Him.

If you retake the throne of your life through sin - a definite act of disobedience - breathe spiritually.

Spiritual breathing (exhaling the impure and inhaling the pure) is an exercise in faith that enables you to continue to experience God's love and forgiveness.

Exhale - confess your sin - agree with God concerning your sin and thank Him for His forgiveness of it, according to 1 John 1:99If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. and Hebrews 10:1-251For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfect those who draw near.2Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have had consciousness of sins?3But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year by year.4For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.5Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says, "Sacrifice and offering You have not desired, But a body You have prepared for Me; 6In whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You have taken no pleasure. 7"Then I said, `Behold, I have come (In the scroll of the book it is written of Me) To do Your will, O god.'"8After saying above, "Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You have not desired, nor have You taken pleasure in them" (which are offered according to the Law),9then He said, "Behold, I have come to do Your will." He takes away the first in order to establish the second.10By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.11Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins;12but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,13waiting from that time onward until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet.14For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.15And the Holy Spirit also testifies to us; for after saying, 16"This is the covenant that I will make with them After those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws upon their heart, And on their mind I will write them," He then says, 17"And their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."18Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin.19Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,20by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,21and since we have a great priest over the house of God,22let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.23Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;24and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,25not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.. Confession involves repentance - a change in attitude and action.

Inhale - surrender the control of your life to Christ, and appropriate (receive) the fullness of the Holy Spirit by faith. Trust that He now directs and empowers you; according to the command of Ephesians 5:1818And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,, and the promise of
1 John 5:14, 1514This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.15And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

You will want to share this important discovery...

If this page has been meaningful and helpful to you, please share it with someone else.

Millions of copies of the booklet, "Have You Made the Wonderful Discovery of the Spirit-filled Life?" have been distributed in most major languages around the world. As a result, thousands of Christians have learned how to experience the power and control of the Holy Spirit, moment by moment. Through the abundant life which Christ promises, and which they are now experiencing, they have become more effective in sharing their faith in Christ with others. Experience has confirmed the validity of Christ's command to the disciples to wait until they were empowered by the Holy Spirit before going forth to the world to share the good news of His love and forgiveness. Most Christians, when they have learned this truth concerning the Holy Spirit, want to be actively sharing Christ and helping to fulfill the Great Commission in our generation.

Well, of course the determination and discipline are vital too...

Success

To smile often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

To have a supporters called family,
To have a companion called friends,
to have a counsellors called teachers,
and a guide called God.

To have a engine spare called books,
To have a green light for failures,
To realize that study and reading are my bread's and butter.
To spend time wisely,
To do homework at the drop of a hat.

To enjoy the journey of success with faith, patience, endurance, determination and courage.

This is to have succeeded.

Crisis of Comfort

Hello everyone. Today,I'll like to talk a little bit about the problem or obstacles that we often faced in our daily life, because, I've been so stressful lately and i don't have a time for myself. Especially those computer thingy.

What is your goal in life ? Often our goal in life is to be comfortable because we are sick pf the problems and everything that come which messed up our life. Yet when our commitment to comfort affects pursuit of God, we become stagnant, bored, and depressed and that how i felt lately. When we always in a comfort zone, everything seems to be okay. Why? Because we always said we have time to do and we tend to extend our comfort zone. For instance, most of us , as a student , have to do a bunch of homework, when the examination is just around the corner, we said " I'll study later, i need time to rest now, i feel so exhausted ! " .and this is actually one of the way to avoid problems in life. We rest and rest until we didn't realize time has pasted. See,Our spiritual restlessness will continue to increase if we're trying to avoid problems in life .We're instructed, " Base your happiness on your hope in Christ. When trials come endure them patiently . "( 12:12 Philips ) . Notice that Paul doesn't say " if " but " when ". Every single one of us will encounter trials in life. What make the problem a different is the time we faced it is different and the lesson that we learned afterward. And maybe, we're in the midst of some challenges right now. And as we look ahead, more trials are probably right around the corner. It doesn't matter if you're young or old ( even baby has his or her problems, but most of the time, parents are there to assist them ), wealthy or poor: suffering is part of the life. No one is exempt from tragedy. The key is to remember that at the center of every obstacle is a purpose, a revelation of God at work in our lives. My dear, our strength grows as we lean on Him during our struggles.

God allows trials in our lives because the only antidote to the comfort-zone virus is suffering. You don't have to go looking for suffering. Suffering will come into your life. Every one of us experiences deep wounds as we encounter tragedy, loss and pain. I wish i could tell you that if you love God and pursue him wholeheartedly, you'll never felt like giving up . Amen, cause He provides everything for you start from the beginning. Its just you, who rejects it.

My World

In my Utopian World
there would be no perfect figure.
Young women wouldn’t strive
to look like one another .
Young souls wouldn’t shatter
in disappointment to look like the thin.
Beauty would only be found from within.
Supermodels in our society would be the Mother Teresa types,
so loving, so carIng, beautiful and gifted inside.
Too fat...
Too thin...
Too short ...
Too tall ...
It’s all a game,
a game that we have no longer have to play.
human figures would be the last talk of the day.
Wearing a bathing suit wouldn’t be as hard as it is.
Young girls wouldn’t harm their bodies to please their peers.
If we live in Utopian World.
There would be no perfect figure only perfect love.

Today for a second I waited,
A pause that I needed to take,
Held tight were my eyes to the pillow,
Delayed was the motion to wake.
A moment was needed to listen,
To the silence that filled the new day.
A moment to be more desicive,
About the self that I want to potray.

Sometimes I wish I felt pretty,
Sometimes I wish I was more,
Sometimes I wish I could vanish,
Throught a promising wide – open door.
Sometimes I wish I felt needed.
Sometimes I wish it was true.
Sometimes I wish I could realize,
All the things that I’ve needed to do.

But the wishes of maybe are countless,
And the hours do not disagree,
That time makes a habit of slipping away
And there’s only one chance to be me.

I’ll always know when I’m tired
And I’ll always know each mistake.
I’ll always know when I’m fake.
I’ll never regret that which happens,
I’ll never deny a good friend.
I’ll never, on purpose, harm my own heart,
I’ll be there for me in the end.

Pain is Inevitable, but Misery is Optional.

First,Happy Labour Day to all the employees and the employers and Have a blessed holiday too...

Okay, i guess i just have to go straight to the point. See, how many times do we experiences loss in our life? Once? Twice ? or more than that ? but for sure everybody will have that experience so don't worry. See, one of the most difficult lessons in life is how to accept loss. And its an ongoing process since our lives constantly change and we're forced to confront the harsh realities of a world that's far from perfect. Whether you are single or married, teacher or student, you have most likely faced some moment when your world was shaken to its foundation. Failed in an examination, broke up with your....., money fly away and much much more.... And maybe for the children, a divorce and a heart attack...but for me, i loss my boyfriend now... i mean we're not break up. its just that he is there and i'm here. You see, although it will be for just a period of time but when something change, the way you act, the way you did, the way you feel and the way you think are different too. I think i going to talk about the difficulities first. Yes,he had applied his enrolment in American Transfer Degree Program which going to take about 4year to complete his study and to become a successful Civil Engineer. Amen. Actually, just before he goes to Selangor study, i knew that one day he is going to somewhere leaving me at here in order to study or whatever the case put him into but for sure the thing come and say " Hi " to me now and there is nothing to do except to accept.

While he still at here last two weeks, he told me a lot and he scares too, scares the same thing happens again. hm, i have nothing to do with it because i just cant convince him how to take care of himself and dont worry about me. I have to say the past still haunting him right now. huh, sometimes i felt tired to say the same thing, talking about the same thing, hear the same thingy. but i believed time will heal and actually 'm happy that he going far away from me. One is because i can continue my life as usual and of course hoping he will meet someone , who is much better then me. Amen. I'm very thankful , thanks to God that He gives me strenght when you are not here , speaks to me through His words and hears my prayer.

One thing - faith test one when he or she loss someone. and i have to admit that during these time, my faith can be shaken to the core. And on one hand , such trials and painful and losses force me to count on God. I pray for him night and day hoping my prayer assist him in his life. Something happen we do have our option right? I'm not going to let myself be sad just because of that, I know God testing our faith and this is just a small task. Right, i should remember, the same as a spectacular Vogue magazine, remember that no matter how close you follow the jumps: Continued on page whatever. No matter how careful you are, there's going to be the sense you missed something, the collapsed feeling under your skin that you didn't experience it all. There's that fallen heart feeling that you rushed right through the moments where you should've been paying attention. Well, get used to that feeling. That's how your whole life will feel some day. This is all practice. None of this matters. We're just warming up. Yes, Thats right. Difficult times have helped me to understand better than before, how infinitely rich and beautiful life is in every way, and that so many things that one goes worrying about are of no importance whatsoever, so keep it up Sharon.

Give Yourself A Break

I'm very stressful right now . That is why i give myself a break right now. Hoping after i expressed all the stress inside this blog, i can continue my study as usual.

We give ourselves such a hard time. We are much harder on ourselves than on the others. When our friends make mistakes, big or small, we offer them comfort and support. We want to help them badly and we do always offer a shoulder for them to cry on. But do we rarely show ourselves the same understanding? For me, spending one day playing game on a weekday seems very hard to me because i keep on thinking about others. Others are struggling on their preparation for the coming test or examination while me ? Playing game ? not a good idea for me. And this is why I study before... but after i realized that i have a bad purpose on study, i have changed. And thanks to God,I''m not fighting with someone but is to fight with myself. You see, people always think on how to win other people without try to win themselves first. So,overall... relaxing and take a brake are very hard for me to do. All i know is to push and force myself. But , i have to say that stress is actually good. And i believe everyone experiences a very stressful situation and that situation make them become more mature, pratical and zealous towards life.

And after all the journey of discovering what it feels like taking a brake or in other words " Enjoy " , i found it. But i failed to control it wisely. When giving yourself a break, you dont want to abandon self-control or self -observation. It is always important to think about our actions and examine what is actually are we going to do and is this " break " has it purpose ? Or just " well, that is me. Life is about to enjoy. We still have time. " Oh my ...... really? I'm amazed if one's life is just as simple as that ! I appreciated him for teaching me how to " take a brake ". For me, it is really important as an ordinary person like us.

School, family , lover and as a believer, i have my own purpose on every of that aspects and maybe that is also why I've been so stress. Its because my expectation in every of that aspects. I'm so tired. I have to do the chores at home. Finishing all the homework at school and care for someone that i love the most and also be a good believer that always obey His words. But without this kind of character in life, i think the meaning of " life " is " empty ". Different type of situation that bring people into different kind of dimension made this " life " becomes beautiful, amazing and splendid. Like " Love " in my past post . It is intangible , unpredictable and certainly uncontrollable . This is what make it painful, but this is also what makes it so wonderful. We need to remember to be grateful and honored by its presence in our lives. Talking about grateful, it is very not a very easy lesson to learn. See! How wonderful this life is .... Many things to learn.

So,the resolution is... its good to give stress to yourself but make sure that it has it limit. But when you exceed the actual value of stress , heal it by taking a break but when you take a break, also make sure you wont overdose it.... Because when you do , you become lazy and that is why i said self - control is very vital. Hmm, and now am i exceeding my " break time "? I guess I'm not ! :)

Caring is the one most noble pursuit

Last Friday,as usual i went to school but em.... I knew i have another significance things to do instead of going to class and study because that day i have an opportunity to help people , who need my help so much - the disabilities (OKU) students. They came from 20 schools including the primary and the secondary school as well. I love to do this kind of activities, not only it gives me the chance to collect an experiences but also get to know more about the disabilities children . I'm the one of the five students , who had been selected to participate in this program - Program Outreach Pendidikan Khas Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia. The others are Ivy, Riss, Andreson and Fronica. We are all from the same class - 5 Alpha. There are a lot of events in this program since our school is the host, who entertain another as our guess. Five of us already done all the biographical details of the disabilities students in our school for the exhibition on that day. Yeah, and the others public display about their activity for the past whole year until this year. And while the five of us work hard to present the best for the guess who might come on that day, then we realize that some of the disabilities students have higher accomplishment than the normal students in our school no matter in the aspect of curriculum or co-curriculum. Its such an amazing grace. We were so proud to give a little talk on our disabilities children in our school to the people, who came and ask a question about them. And there are also a bunch of handicraft, sewing and drawing products made by the disabilities students that are exhibited on that day.

At the same time on that day,the students, who came from different schools are being tested by the expert to identify their problem . Basically , there are 3 types of test that the students will be given at : hearing, eyesight and study. Based on the test, we can determine what kind of problem that actually faced by the students. And the disease that they might have are Dyslexia, Down syndrome, deafness and having problem in their eyesight. Dyslexia is a learning difficulty which holds no simple definition; psychologists continue to have difficulties providing clear cut answers as to what it is or how it is actually caused.Down syndrome is a chromosomal disorder caused by the presence of all or part of an extra 21st chromosome. This mean the people who has this illness is caused by the presence of an extra chromosome.Well, i guess i don't have to talk too much on that illness. You guys can check out for more info from the internet.

It was almost one and a half o'clock and 2 o'clock the students will present a song and dance for the Tarian Sumazau. Nah, its time for the girls to do the make up... Although i'm not good at it, but i do know some of the basic. They present it very well. Well done and good job for you guys. Oh ya, i also met a guy on the exhibition. He shared a quiz question for me and i gave him mine. We having a good time. That was really enjoying but so sad i can took a picture with him and also the picture of all the activities at there as a memory. But nevermind it will always be a memory in my mind.

We can put together a collection of links to bring people a hope and help. Knowing that they are not alone in their suffering and they have someone to share it with, which can make a very big difference. Perhaps one of the hardest things in life is coping with illness and pain. In some ways, it can be even harder when we are having to look after a loved one who is ill, than with our own illness. God Bless All of them and also you . Amen.

death and resurrection of Jesus Christ

The next three weeks, let’s focus on Easter. Easter is the time of year when we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ came to this earth over 2,000 years ago. He was the Son of God, yet He came as a poor person. He did not sin, but He came to die for us all. He commanded no armies, but He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

He came to die on a cross to take away the sins of the world. He told His disciples He was going to die. But where most of us do not want to die, and will fight to prevent it, Jesus went to the cross willingly for us. He who knew no sin became sin for us, so that we could be forgiven and become children of God.

When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming, he said “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” Do you have sin? Of course you do; we all have sinned. To sin is to do or think something that is against God’s will. We all have been selfish, or have stolen, or have been prideful, or have committed other sins. But when Jesus came, He paid the penalty that we all deserve for our sins. All we need to do is to accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.

So this week, let us pray that

* God will help us to realize how wonderful is our salvation in Jesus Christ
* Each of us would walk in newness of life — forgiven in Jesus!
* God would help our staff at Global Media Outreach have peace and joy and victory in Jesus Christ

How great is the love of God! God could just have judged the whole world, and we would all have been lost. Instead, He sent His own Son so that we could be saved. Let us share the love of Jesus with the whole world!

MARRIAGE IS FOR LOVE

Here is an interesting article that i want to share with those who wants to learn whatever God has told us to do...

Men and women are different! You may consider this self-evident, but the trend of our day is to minimize the differences and pervert the meaning of equality. “Male and female created He them.” Men and women walk differently, talk differently, think differently, and even eat differently! They are motivated by different values and affected by different emotions. They differ in every cell of their bodies.

While there are varying degrees of difference between men and women, we can enumerate several important differences. Generally speaking, men are stronger physically than women. They are guided more by logic than are women, who rely a great deal on intuition and emotion. Men are usually more objective, women more subjective. Men are often realistic, women idealistic. Men seem to be more rigid in their thinking, while women are often more adaptable to the influence of others. At the same time, women are generally more sympathetic than men. They seem to be especially interested in people, while men are more interested in things.

The Apostle Paul [compared] the husband-wife relationship to the relationship between Christ and His church. After speaking of a man being joined to his wife, he makes this assertion: “This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.” Although marriage was instituted long before the church began, that union anticipated that God would someday form the church and present it to His Son as His bride. Marriage is a magnificent drama portraying the relationship between Christ and the church.

In the drama the players are husband and wife. The husband portrays Christ and the wife represents the church. “So you wives must willingly obey your husbands in everything, just as the church obeys Christ. And you husbands, show the same kind of love to your wives as Christ showed to the church when he died for her.” One very important reason that God made men and women so unlike each other is that man portrays Christ and woman portrays the church.

Just as there is an order of authority in the Christ-church relationship, so there is an order of authority in the husband-wife relationship. One of the most hotly debated concepts in the Bible is that “… the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church”, the biblical doctrine of headship. Since this doctrine is part of God’s infallible Word, there cannot be perfect harmony in marriage apart from its application. What, then, is headship?

Headship is loving leadership. The Bible declares, “But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God.” The greatest example of headship is God the Father as head over God the Son. Christ has been equal with His Father from eternity past, yet He subjected Himself to [His] authority. Just as the Father is the Head of the Son and the Son is the Head of man, so man is the head of woman in the marital relationship.

Headship is not superiority. Nowhere does the Bible imply that men are superior to women. In fact, it clearly states that men and women are equal in God’s sight. “There is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Nor does headship consist of dictatorship. Actually it does just the opposite. Jesus Christ is the supreme example of headship, yet Christ actually serves the church.

The ladies are probably asking, “But why must the woman take a submissive role?” Simply because of the way God made her. The woman’s God-given nature is to be led, to be dependent. She is not truly happy in any other role. Some women, because of selfishness or immaturity, seek to dominate their husbands—but are not happier for the effort. God made a woman to lean on her husband; if she whittles him down to where he can no longer be leaned on, she suffers.

Unfortunately, some men shy away from their leadership role. With authority goes demands, decisions, and much time. Interested [more] in their own convenience than in biblical responsibilities, they force their wives into the leadership role—with chaotic results. Gentlemen, take charge! Take the initiative in making decisions, training the children, and establishing family worship.

I asked women in a Bible class what they needed most from their husbands. One lady replied, “I need him to assume headship and responsibility. I have to make decisions that he should make, and I don’t enjoy wearing the pants.” Many of the other women made similar comments. They were particularly concerned about their husbands’ leadership in spiritual matters. Contrary to what women say and do, deep down inside they do not want to dominate their husbands. They want to be lovingly led.

How is this leadership implemented in the Christian home? It is similar to the leadership exercised in any smoothly operating organization. No successful corporation can function properly with two heads. If there is a president and a vice-president, the president is the leader. The vice-president may actually be more brilliant than his boss, but the president still carries the greater authority. This is exactly how a Christian marriage should work. Each mate should be concerned for the other, and for the best interests of the marriage.

This is God’s blueprint for the Christian home. A woman finds real freedom when she assumes her God-given role as a helpmeet, relying on the man God has given her and graciously submitting to him. He in turn tenderly loves, protects, and provides for her. God asks us to glorify Him by accepting our roles and fulfilling them faithfully.

Give thanks to the Lord

Jesus Christ is God’s Son. As we look at preparing for Easter this year, let us realize how wonderful it is that God’s Son came to die for us.

How can one man take on the sins of the whole world? An ordinary man could not do this — but Jesus is not just a man. He came to earth 2,000 years ago and was born of a virgin whose name was Mary. Jesus’ father is God. Jesus Himself existed with God from the beginning of time. “He was in very nature God.”

What is wonderful and amazing is that Jesus, the sinless son of God, came to earth and took punishment that He did not deserve. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish, but would have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved.” Everyone on earth has sinned; God has laid on Christ the punishment for the sins of us all.

What we have to do is accept Jesus Christ as our savior; agree with God that we have sinned; and thank God that Jesus paid the penalty for our sins. Without that, we are deserving of eternal death and punishment and separation from God. When we accept Jesus Christ, we are given the gift of eternal life — and forgiveness for all our sins! What a wonderful gift! How great is the love of God!

So this week, let us thank God

* For sending His own Son Jesus to be our Savior
* For allowing His Son to be crucified to pay the penalty for our sins
* For His great love for us

God is so wonderful — He is willing to not hold our sins against us, but He wants us to be His sons and daughters. Let us live our lives in thankfulness to God.
